Nursing Informatics Specialist
Job description
Nursing Informatics Specialist (AI Training)
About the Role
What if your clinical nursing expertise could help build the AI systems that will support the next generation of patient care?
At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to develop cutting-edge models — and we need real nursing professionals to help us get healthcare AI right. As a Nursing Informatics Specialist, you'll bring frontline clinical knowledge to AI training projects, ensuring that AI systems accurately understand nursing workflows, clinical documentation, and health information systems.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for nurses who want to apply their expertise beyond the bedside — without leaving the field they know best.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate AI-generated clinical content for accuracy, safety, and alignment with real-world nursing workflows
- Apply your knowledge of EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) to assess how well AI understands clinical documentation and informatics processes
- Identify gaps, errors, or unrealistic outputs in AI responses related to nursing practice and health IT
- Translate clinical nursing expertise into structured feedback that directly improves AI model quality
- Annotate, rate, and refine AI outputs using clear evaluation guidelines
- Work independently and asynchronously — on a schedule that works for you
Who You Are
- Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent with hands-on clinical experience
- Familiar with clinical informatics, EHR systems, or health IT workflows
- Able to critically evaluate clinical content and spot inaccuracies or unsafe recommendations
- Strong written communicator who can provide clear, structured feedback
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments
- No prior AI experience required — your clinical expertise is what matters
Nice to Have
- Experience in nursing informatics, clinical decision support, or health data analysis
- Background in EHR implementation, configuration, or training
- Prior work with data annotation, evaluation, or quality assurance systems
- Informatics certification (e.g., ANCC Nursing Informatics)
Why Join Us
- Apply your nursing expertise to one of the most impactful technology fields of our time
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and how much you choose
- Collaborate with a global network of clinical and technical professionals
- Contribute to AI systems that will shape the future of healthcare
- Autonomy, variety, and meaningful work — without shift work or bedside demands
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
