Job description

Chemistry Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)

About the Role

We're looking for chemistry experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems tackling advanced scientific problems. Your deep subject-matter knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through chemistry — from undergraduate fundamentals to graduate-level complexity — making a real impact on the next generation of intelligent tools.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No prior AI experience is needed — just a strong command of chemistry and the ability to think rigorously.

  • Organization: Alignerr

  • Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with precise, well-structured reasoning
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, logical soundness, and quality
  • Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate to Master's-level chemistry topics
  • Provide structured, detailed feedback that helps improve AI model performance

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
