Job description

Population Health Informaticist (AI Training)

About the Role

We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more accurate health AI — and we need population health experts to help make it happen. As a Population Health Informaticist, you'll bring your real-world expertise to evaluate, improve, and inform AI systems designed to understand and address health at a community scale.

Your knowledge of public health data, epidemiological trends, and health disparities will directly shape how AI reasons about population-level outcomes — work that has the potential to improve lives at scale.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate AI-generated content related to population health for accuracy, clinical validity, and real-world applicability
  • Review and assess analytical frameworks, health metrics, and data interpretations produced by AI systems
  • Identify gaps, errors, or misleading conclusions in AI outputs related to epidemiology, health equity, and public health surveillance
  • Provide structured, expert feedback to help AI models reason more accurately about population-level health data
  • Apply your knowledge of dashboards, data pipelines, and reporting frameworks to assess AI-generated outputs in these domains
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Experienced in healthcare, public health, or population-level data analysis
  • Strong analytical thinker with the ability to critically evaluate health data and AI-generated insights
  • Skilled in data visualization, dashboards, and reporting tools used in population health contexts
  • Comfortable translating complex health data into clear, actionable assessments
  • Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy and rigor
  • No prior AI experience required — your domain expertise is what matters

Nice to Have

  • Background in epidemiology, biostatistics, or health informatics
  • Experience with data annotation, quality assurance, or evaluation frameworks
  • Familiarity with public health surveillance systems or population health platforms
  • Advanced degree in public health, health informatics, or a related field

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Apply your expertise to meaningful work at the intersection of public health and AI
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
