Job description

Population Health Informaticist (AI Training)

About the Role

We're looking for Population Health Informaticists to bring their expertise to one of the most meaningful intersections in modern healthcare: data and AI. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research teams to build smarter, more accurate AI systems — and we need health informatics professionals to help us get there.

Your deep knowledge of population-level health data will directly shape how AI understands, analyzes, and communicates insights about public health trends, disparities, and interventions.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate AI-generated analyses of population health data for accuracy, relevance, and clinical soundness
  • Review and assess outputs related to health trends, epidemiological patterns, and community-level disparities
  • Provide structured expert feedback to help AI systems reason more accurately about public health concepts
  • Identify gaps, errors, or misleading conclusions in AI-generated health content
  • Apply your knowledge of data pipelines, dashboards, and health reporting frameworks to evaluate AI outputs in context
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Experienced in working with healthcare, public health, or population-level datasets
  • Strong analytical background with familiarity in data visualization, dashboards, or health reporting tools
  • Able to identify nuanced errors in health data interpretation or epidemiological reasoning
  • Comfortable translating complex data insights into clear, structured feedback
  • Detail-oriented and reliable when working independently
  • No prior AI experience required — your health informatics expertise is what matters

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation workflows
  • Background in epidemiology, biostatistics, or health informatics
  • Familiarity with public health surveillance systems or population health platforms
  • Experience working with EHR data, claims data, or social determinants of health datasets

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top research labs and health-focused teams
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, as much or as little as you want
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Contribute to meaningful work that makes AI smarter about the health challenges that affect millions
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
