Remote (Global) $40 – $80/hr May 22, 2026

Job description

Principal Clinical Scientist (AI Training)

About the Role

What if your expertise in clinical trial design and regulatory-grade data interpretation could directly shape how AI reasons about biomedical evidence — influencing systems used by researchers and clinicians worldwide?

We're looking for a Principal Clinical Scientist to bring senior-level rigor to AI-driven research workflows. You'll work with cutting-edge AI teams to ensure clinical data used in training and evaluation meets the standards expected in real-world regulatory submissions.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for experienced clinical scientists who want to do meaningful work — on their own schedule.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design and review clinical trial protocols used to generate high-quality, regulator-ready datasets for AI training
  • Interpret and audit clinical trial results for accuracy, consistency, and regulatory relevance
  • Evaluate AI-generated clinical analyses for scientific soundness and alignment with FDA, EMA, or equivalent regulatory expectations
  • Provide structured expert feedback that helps AI models reason more accurately about clinical trial data, outcomes, and evidence
  • Flag methodological gaps, ambiguities, or misrepresentations in AI-generated clinical content

Who You Are

  • Senior-level professional with deep experience designing clinical trial protocols for regulatory submission
  • Highly skilled at interpreting clinical data for regulatory agencies such as the FDA, EMA, or equivalent bodies
  • Strong grounding in clinical research methodology, biostatistics, or translational science
  • Detail-oriented and systematic — you hold clinical data to the highest standards of rigor
  • Comfortable working independently and asynchronously in a remote, task-based environment

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI content review
  • Familiarity with AI tools or language model outputs in a scientific context
  • Background in biomedical informatics, health technology assessment, or evidence synthesis

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI systems making an impact in clinical and biomedical research
  • Influence how AI understands, evaluates, and communicates real-world clinical evidence
  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, expert-level work
  • Collaborate with leading AI research teams and labs at the cutting edge of the field
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
