Role Overview

Join our customer's team as a Somali Language Expert and contribute to the development of advanced AI language systems.

In this role, you will apply your linguistic expertise to ensure the accuracy, cultural relevance, and quality of Somali language data, directly impacting AI and NLP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, edit, and validate Somali content for accuracy and clarity
• Translate content between Somali and English with cultural sensitivity
• Collaborate with AI trainers to improve language datasets
• Provide detailed feedback to enhance AI-generated outputs
• Ensure consistency and quality in all written and verbal communication
• Identify and correct grammatical, spelling, and contextual errors
• Act as a cultural advisor for Somali language use in AI systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Somali
• Strong experience in editing, proofreading, and quality assurance
• Proven expertise in translation between Somali and English
• Exceptional attention to detail and linguistic accuracy
• Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and language conventions
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AI or machine learning language models
• Background in linguistics, NLP, or language technology
• Previous experience as a Somali language AI trainer
