Job description

Clinical Business Intelligence Manager (AI Training)

About the Role

What if your expertise in clinical analytics could directly shape how AI understands and interprets healthcare data — influencing outcomes for patients and systems at scale?

We're looking for an experienced Clinical Business Intelligence Manager to lead analytics strategy and delivery for AI training projects at the intersection of healthcare and machine learning. You'll guide BI teams in transforming complex clinical, operational, and performance data into trusted insights — dashboards, reports, and models that drive real decisions.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for senior healthcare data professionals who want meaningful, high-impact work without the constraints of a traditional full-time role.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor a business intelligence team in designing and delivering dashboards, reports, and analytics that support clinical and operational decision-making
  • Maintain, optimize, and govern BI infrastructure — including data models, SQL queries, and reporting pipelines — ensuring accuracy, reliability, and performance
  • Analyze clinical, operational, and performance datasets to uncover actionable trends and support leadership decisions
  • Bridge the gap between complex healthcare data and clear, trusted insights that improve care delivery and organizational efficiency
  • Collaborate with AI research teams to ensure clinical data is structured, validated, and fit for purpose in training advanced AI models

Who You Are

  • Experienced healthcare or clinical analytics professional with a strong command of business intelligence systems and data management
  • Proven track record designing and managing BI environments — including dashboards, reporting pipelines, and data models — at scale
  • Comfortable navigating clinical, operational, and administrative datasets within regulated healthcare environments
  • Strong communicator who can translate data complexity into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-directed and reliable — you can manage a team and deliver quality work without close oversight

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
  • Familiarity with LLMs or experience working alongside AI research teams
  • Background in health informatics, clinical operations, or population health analytics

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside world-leading research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — structure your hours around your life
  • Freelance autonomy with the substance of high-stakes, meaningful work
  • Direct exposure to advanced LLMs and the mechanics of how they are trained on real-world clinical data
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
  • Collaborate with a global network of experts across healthcare, data science, and AI
