Job description

Alignerr is seeking Portuguese language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on Portuguese-language content.

Contributors will help shape how AI systems understand, generate, and communicate in Portuguese through language evaluation, cultural review, and content refinement tasks.

This role is fully remote and freelance-based, offering flexible work hours and asynchronous collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review AI-generated Portuguese translations and original content for:

    • Accuracy
    • Naturalness
    • Fluency
    • Cultural appropriateness

  • Identify:

    • Mistranslations
    • Unnatural phrasing
    • Register mismatches
    • Cultural inconsistencies

  • Suggest improved Portuguese phrasing that is:

    • Clear
    • Idiomatic
    • Contextually accurate

  • Provide structured feedback on:

    • Linguistic quality
    • Translation quality
    • Cultural alignment

  • Work independently on asynchronous language evaluation tasks

Requirements

  • Native or near-native fluency in Portuguese

  • Strong written communication skills in:

    • Portuguese
    • English

  • Ability to evaluate written language quality consistently at scale

  • Strong attention to detail and consistency

  • No prior AI experience required
