Role Overview

Mercor is seeking Bilingual Math Experts to create high-quality, image-based math training data for AI systems.

In this role, you will develop structured math examples that combine images, prompts, and step-by-step solutions in both English and your native language. Your work will directly improve how AI models understand and solve mathematical problems across languages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create training examples including images, math prompts, and ideal solutions
  • Solve math problems with clear, step-by-step explanations
  • Write prompts and responses naturally in both English and your native language
  • Ensure proper use of LaTeX and mathematical notation
  • Identify and correct logical or computational errors
  • Follow formatting guidelines and style requirements
  • Source high-quality images (textbooks, diagrams, handwritten notes, charts)

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and one of the following: Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, Korean, French, Chinese, or Russian
  • Strong ability to explain mathematical reasoning clearly
  • Experience solving college-level math problems
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiarity with LaTeX and mathematical formatting
  • Ability to work independently and maintain quality standards

Work Details

  • Commitment: Minimum 20 hours per week
  • Fully remote and flexible
  • Ongoing, high-volume content creation work

Compensation

  • Pay Range: $35–$50 per hour
