About the Role

Mercor is seeking Japanese Professional Voice Actors to participate in a short-term project helping train AI systems to better understand and generate spoken audio.

Participants will work directly with a leading AI research lab, recording voice data that improves the performance of advanced AI models.

Professional voice acting experience is preferred but not required. Individuals with experience in audio-related fields such as music, podcasts, broadcasting, streaming, or content creation are encouraged to apply.

Project Details

  • Project duration: approximately 1–2 weeks
  • Start date: March 12, 2026 (PST)
  • Time commitment: 2–10 hours per week
  • Compensation: $200 USD per finished hour of recorded audio
  • Kickoff call required before the project begins

  • Strong attention to punctuation and transcript accuracy
  • Access to a professional recording setup, including:
    • High-quality microphone

    • Audio editing software
