Electrical Engineering
Job description
Electrical Engineering Expert (AI Training)
About the Role
We're looking for experienced electrical engineers to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Your domain expertise will directly shape how AI understands, reasons through, and solves complex engineering problems — making a real impact on the future of technical AI.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where you set your own schedule and apply your hard-earned knowledge in an exciting new frontier.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems spanning circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and embedded systems to stress-test AI performance
- Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step solutions and benchmark responses that AI models use as a reference for learning
- Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC)
- Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify logical gaps or errors in AI-generated engineering reasoning and provide structured feedback to improve model outputs
- Probe Model Limits — Challenge AI across domains like VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, robotics, and engineering simulations — documenting failure modes to harden model reasoning
Who You Are
- Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Strong foundational expertise in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, signal processing, power electronics, or telecommunications
- Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing
- Detail-oriented — you catch errors in equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation that others miss
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
- No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, technical evaluation, or quality assurance workflows
- Familiarity with AI or large language model (LLM) systems
- Background spanning multiple electrical engineering subfields
Why Join Us
- Work on genuinely cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work on your schedule, from anywhere
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
- Gain rare insight into how advanced AI models are built and trained
- Meaningful work that directly improves AI reliability for engineers worldwide
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
