About the Role
In this remote contractor role, you'll apply your software engineering expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on challenging software engineering tasks across backend, full-stack, infrastructure, and systems projects
- Review, debug, improve, and explain code across different technical environments
- Design or evaluate solutions involving APIs, databases, services, integrations, testing, and deployment
- Identify tradeoffs around scalability, maintainability, performance, reliability, and security
- Communicate technical reasoning clearly in writing
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Strong experience in at least one backend/full-stack environment (Python, JS/TS, Node.js, Java, C#, .NET, C++, Go, Ruby, PHP)
- Experience building or reviewing production-level applications, APIs, services, databases
- Strong understanding of software fundamentals: debugging, testing, architecture, tradeoffs

- Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- CI/CD, DevOps, containers
- Frontend: React, Next.js, Angular, Vue
