Role Overview
Mercor is seeking experienced Russian Copy Editors to support high-quality written content across AI training initiatives.
This role is ideal for detail-oriented language professionals who can ensure clarity, consistency, grammatical precision, and stylistic excellence across complex Russian written materials.
You will play a key role in maintaining editorial quality and improving content used to train AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread Russian-language content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and clarity
- Ensure consistency in tone, style, formatting, and terminology
- Improve structure, readability, and logical flow without altering intended meaning
- Identify ambiguities, inconsistencies, and structural issues
- Enforce adherence to Russian editorial standards (e.g., GOST or equivalent)
- Flag unclear instructions, weak reasoning, or editorial risks
- Provide thoughtful feedback to improve overall content quality
Ideal Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of professional copyediting experience
- Native-level fluency in Russian (required)
- Proven track record of high-precision editorial work
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to catch subtle inconsistencies
- Familiarity with professional editorial standards (e.g., GOST or equivalent)
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality output
- Reliable availability and consistent engagement
Work Details
- Commitment: Minimum 20 hours per week
