About the Opportunity

Outlier helps the world’s most innovative companies improve their AI models by providing human feedback.

Outlier is looking for talented writers fluent in Egyptian Arabic to help train generative artificial intelligence models. This freelance opportunity is fully remote and offers flexible working hours.

What You’ll Do

  • Read Arabic (Egypt) text and rank responses generated by AI models
  • Write short stories in Arabic based on assigned topics
  • Evaluate whether Arabic text generated by AI models is factually accurate
  • Provide human feedback that helps improve AI model performance

Examples of Desirable Expertise

  • Professional translation experience
  • Professional writing experience such as:
    • Copywriting
    • Journalism
    • Technical writing
    • Editing
  • Enrollment in or completion of an undergraduate program in a humanities field or a writing-related field
  • Enrollment in or completion of a graduate program related to creative writing

Payment

Current pay rates for core project work by Arabic (Egypt) writing experts average $7.50 USD per hour.

Rates may vary based on:

  • Expertise
  • Skills assessments
  • Geographic location
  • Project requirements

Higher rates may be offered to candidates with advanced degrees such as PhDs. Some projects may also include incentive payments.
